So I thought "I'll just throw a small birthday party for Noah". And then I considered my friends. Constantly an excuse or reason they can't show, so I invited lots and expected many rejects. Well I'm now sitting here with 9 kids confirmed excluding Noah and almost 30 people in total. And I still have 6 kids I haven't heard from.....

I only planned for 8 kids, so I need to go buy more favors, no big deal, just annoying that I have to go back out and hopefully find the same things I found the first time. Then I'm wondering now if my cake for 30 is going to be enough. I'm also a little concerned about everyone fitting in my house.

I'm going to commence freaking out now...

Isn't that the way it usually is? You invite just enough and then nobody comes or you invite more than you want, because you know there will be a lot that won't come, and everyone comes. I only invite family, which still ends up being like 20 people.

Just family is 40 some for us so I don't know what a small party is. i can't wait until I can just invite school friends but I don't want him to be school age. (wahh) That being said we have a 1,580 square foot house (basement not included) but still - not a big house at all and we fit fine. You can make it work and it will be a great party!! =)

I can't wait to see photos.

We did a big family party last year. This year, it's just "friends" or more kids his age that I'm friends with their parents. I'm sure it seems worse than it really will be. I'm not too worried about there being enough space as I am just keeping 12 toddlers "entertained". Enter suggestions for crafts/activities here. Bonus points if they are "train" related.

Thomas the Tank Engine

DLTK's Train Craft for Kids

personally at this age I'd just do crayons and paper. Or take home placements

For the place mats :
stickers
crayons
creativity
a lamanator

Have each kid decorate a piece of paper then lamante it whala a place mat.

My kids love doing this craft.
