So my appointment yesterday was pretty much a repeat of last week (except my doctor was back). My weight was the same...though last week they charted wrong, and had me weighing 20lb more than I really did! LOL! Anyway...weight was the same even in spite of the Christmas holiday eating, BP was slightly lower, urine negative, heartbeat in the 150's, cervix the same (fingertip dilated, 25% effaced, "floating"). I asked her about the baby's position...she said she thought she was still head down, but if she wasn't too busy next week, she'd bring in the u/s machine and do a quick check.
My feet are still swollen, but overall I'm not feeling too bad. My foot that had been hurting so badly is not hurting anymore!! I'm still having all of the pain/pressure in the pelvic area, and contractions seem to be increasing, though not regular at all yet.
Christmas was nice...pretty low-key compared to normal, though. Jon's parents were in town from last Wednesday through this morning. His sister & her fiance were here too (Christmas Eve through Saturday morning). We also celebrated Jon's birthday yesterday. Other than the crazy flooding that we had (lots of roads/highways closed), it was really nice...good food, family, relaxing, etc. Jon got me a car seat (LOL)...the Graco Snugride in the Betsey pattern. Very cute! He also gave me a necklace--not for Christmas, but as a "mommy" gift, he said. I loved it!
Anyway...now that Christmas is over, I'm just counting down the days til maternity leave starts--5 days left to work, not counting today! All that's left to buy is a bathtub, and maybe a carrier/sling of some sort, but I don't know what to get. We still have to finish up the nursery, but the walls are completely done. We just have to finish the furniture and set it all up.
