Bringing the conversation on maternity clothes from the whines and woohoos thread up here!!!

I'm only just now starting to look prego. I'm a very fluffy girl, so if you didnt know me i looked normal for my weight and if you did it just looked like i was gaining weight. Now i have a big round belly and i love it!!! I had been wearing normal clothes in larger sizes, but I said F it, i waited a long time for this, i'm gonna splash out and buy the clothes that show off this bump!

got such great bargains too. 2 shirts were €3 each, one was €5, and the pretty dressy type top was €10. I got that cos its our anniversary next month and i dont want to skip it cos i have nothing to wear!

what are you all wearing these days?

I'm also a fluffy gal - I definitely look like I'm gaining weight but still no baby bump yet So, I'm just wearing the same pants but with hairties to hold them up haha or some of my old "fat pants" that I hadn't gotten around to getting rid of. Mostly, though, I just hang out in yoga pants or jammy pants.

I'm in maternity pants from Motherhood Maternity (which is the only shop that carries plus size in this stupid town) and my normal shirts. I have a few maternity shirts, but most of my shirts are loose and hang away from my belly, so when I get to the third trimester my round belly looks adorable in my normal shirts. Jeff said yesterday that I suddenly have a pregnant belly and I was happy to hear that I actually look pregnant rather than fat.

aw thats really sweet of him! my husband was saying it for a while but i didnt believe him!
OMG dont get me started on plus sized maternity clothes! it was an absolute nightmare trying to find pants in a size bigger than "barbie" and the ones i did find were crazy expensive. I eventually discovered that one of the high street stores here actually do my size in maternity, just dont carry it in the store, so i was able to order online. Got 2 pairs of jeans for €60, so not too bad. But i would like to have a spare! I refuse to spend another €30 on a pair of pants i'll only be wearing for 8 weeks!
The tshirts I got will def work after the baby comes tho, so i didnt mind spending some money on those. plus i got loads for less than one pair of pants!!!

Girrrll! I know right! I dont get why pants are still SO small when we ALL KNOW the average woman is NOT a size 2...lets face it! I myself have this problem! I have a small waist but I have hips, butt and thighs...always have. Hey, i'm German! I have been wearing yoga pants this whole pregnancy. They have been wonderful! As far as shirts, I have not bought any maternity yet! Which is exciting to me, but its still so hot here in AZ so Im wearing tank tops and lose fitting shirts which is my normal style anyway so I am hoping that when it gets cooler in November and December I can still get away with not buying any maternity shirts. Fingers crossed!

I was so blessed to have a friend of my sister's give me a big bag of maternity clothes and they are all my size....the belly on some of the pants are big, but I'm dealing! They feel so much better than my regular pants cutting into my belly (which is finally round....woo hoo) LOL
