When you are at home alone with the kids and someone knocks on the frontdoor (or rings the bell) do you answer?

Usually. But I can't stand unannounced visitors. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. So I don't get many people popping by without calling first.

I don't really like to. I always just try to act like there's nobody home, but when someone rings the door bell my 2 year old always starts screaming "Mom there's someone at the door" really loudly lol. So much for that plan.

I always answer but it annoys me to sometimes, especially when people stop by unannounced!

I NEVER answer my door.
It's VERY rare I get unexpected guests. And, if I do.. they'll text me @ the door and tell me they are there, lol. I NEVER answer the door if I peek out and don't recognize the person.

Nope. If I'm not expecting anyone and it's not one of the few neighbors I recognize, I don't answer. I let my two dogs bark and scare them away! We recently got a gate at the top of our driveway too, so that helps.

At our last house, I would just act like nobody was home. We never had guests or people just stop by, so if someone did knock on the door it was a stranger.

Here, we don't know anyone, and the one person we do know honks as she drives up the drive so I know it is her. Otherwise we live so far out, nobody should be stopping by anyway. If they did, though, it would be harder for me to hide b/c you can see me sitting on the sofa from the front porch b/c the curtains are always open.

I have to answer it because my dog goes crazy every time the doorbell rings. Usually we only get packages during the day. If it's during nap time, I try to catch people before they ring the doorbell.

I never answer the door when i'm home alone. I live in the middle of nowhere so people dont call unannounced. I know when i'm expecting a package and the postman always comes at the same time so i know when its him. Otherwise, its either gonna be someone selling something i dont want, or a weirdo i dont want to talk to. So my door stays locked unless steve is home!
