Did you dtd on your wedding night?

I saw this on another site and the general consensus was the same as the advice i got when i got married. Dont bother with any fancy bridal lingerie as you wont have the energy after the big day! So I'm curious!!!

We sure did! My husband was in the Navy, and we had been apart for 8 months so there was no way we weren't going to . We also had a very low key wedding at a Bed and Breakfast, so there was no stressful long day that would have exhausted us before hand.

I honestly have no idea. Probably not, considering DD was little and I was likely dead tired. But our "big day" consisted of us going to the courthouse in shorts and t-shirts so we weren't tired out from the festivities, that's for sure.

Nope. For one thing, we were WAY too tired, plus DH's friends had gone into our house (one of them was in the military and was on leave and was staying with us for a week so he had a key) and filled our entire bedroom with balloons...half with helium and half not, so it was LITERALLY FULL of balloons. We were completely exhausted, but had to spend over an hour popping balloons so we could go to bed.

On top of that, I had worn thigh high panty hose all day and the sticky stuff that holds them up left blisters all the way around my legs and they pulled a couple layers of skin off when I took them off. I had huge weeping sores all around my legs. I'm allergic to adhesive, and didn't think anything of it when I put them on. I know better, now.

No. We went out partying with friends at a hotel and people crashed with us, which was fine by me. We had fun and I we had sex enough before the wedding! lol

Nope. We were pretty exhausted. We waited until the next day when we arrived at our honeymoon location!

That sounds horrible! The legs part. The balloons sounds sound of cute.

Nope. We got to spend maybe an hour at our reception before taking my stepson and hopping onto a plane to take him to his BM (bio mother) for their vacation (long drama filled story.... not gonna get into it... it's over, i can't change it, blah!). By the time we got to the hotel for the night it was like 2am. I was nauseous (3 mo pregnant). We did DTD the next morning though. And then I puked in a teeny tiny airplane bathroom all the way back to Ohio. I try not to think about events following the wedding....

Kara I had those blisters after ours too! I'm wearing them again for the big wedding, but I think I'll go with the kind that requires the clips.

Yes we had sex, we won't after the big wedding since we're staying with my grandparents and I suspect him to choose to abstain for the full 3 weeks we're there. LOL

It was REALLY painful! It took forever to heal, also, and all of my pants stuck to it. Ugh!

The balloons were cute, looking back on it, but at the time I was PISSED! lol The last thing I wanted to do at 2am, after such a busy day, was pop 500 balloons. Those boys were they pleased with themselves, though. LOL

kara, you poor thing! sounds like his friends did it on purpose to stop any consumation!

We did do it on our wedding night, but it was more of a "we kinda have to!" more than "yay we're married!"
We did it properly the next day! we were just so tired, all we wanted to do was sleep!

Yes, he helped me pull the 50 million bobby pins out of my hair and get out of the dress which helped get things started. We crashed soon after though and slept well so we could enjoy Vegas the next day!

DH and I are thinking of doing a vow renewal on our 10 yr anniversary. My SIL RUINED my wedding and did everything wrong and was so ignorant towards us. I want to do another ceremony and she will be lucky if she is invited. I have until 2015 to plan it. I want to not be knocked up at that time, lol.

No we didnt. LOL. I never really "thought" of that actually. We had a very small intimate wedding with just some family members, we both dont like big events and we both dont like having many people around us so it worked out great. When DH and I got home that night we just hung out. How lame is that! We didnt have a honeymoon or anything, and we already lived together so when we got home the only thing that changed was my last name. lol

Yep, we sure did. I had told him at the reception not to even think about it because I was SOOOOOO tired, but after we got home and opened all our gifts and cards together, I took out the thousands of bobby pins in my hair, we got in the shower together and then went to bed and did our thang It wasn't an all night romantic thing or anything....it was sex on our wedding night. LOL

DH and I did. However I wasn't smart enough to have him help me with the 10,000 bobby pins in my hair. We just both went to sleep (me with my hair still up) and then woke up around 4:00am with my head throbbing from being poked all over. So both of us being half awake took my hair down then...not the best planning
