myself.... seriously though...i'd be the one working my *** off to get the award i'd be ****** if i didnt give myself credit for it LOL and then anyone who helped me along the way...
and i swear im not trying to stir the pot....but it really irks me when celebrities thank god for their success...yeah i dont believe in it....but if there was a god...would he really spend all his time helping the celebs win awards when there are dying/starving children all over the world?!?! take credit for your own hard work and dedication!!!
I have to agree. I'd thank myself, and those that were supportive and there for me along the way. I don't believe in god either, and don't understand why they'd thank.him. Like Kristy said, why would he if he existed let the world be in such shambles but help a celebrity win a stupid award?
I would thank my husband and children for allowing me to work in such a demanding field. I'd thank my parents for teaching me independence and self-reliance. I would thank God for all the wonderful things in life.
I don't think they are specifically thanking God for the award. I believe in God, but don't think that he/she sits up there with nothing better to do than help people win sporting events or awards. I would however thank God for all the things that led me to that place in life. I thank him regularly for all the things that led me to the incredible place I'm at now.
I don't like the people who step up there and thank God only to demean women, talk about murdering people and doing drugs in their rap songs. I think that's pretty disingenuous, but I supposed they'll answer for it eventually...or not.
