Is there anyone else here trying to lose weight?

Would you be interested in doing a daily check in thread with our food diaries etc? I go to a weight loss site and they have alot of these accountablility threads that seem to work for them, but i dont like those ladies as much i like you guys!!!

I have over 100lbs to lose, down 20lbs since jan 1st. I use myfitnesspal to track calories.

I have 40 to lose right now (I had 50, I've lost 10). I'm 174 right now (trying to get to the 130's, and no.. I could care less sharing numbers, lol).

I've been doing super super well this week so far.

Erika, well done on your ten lb loss hun, thats so awesome!!!

I'll share numbers too! they are in my ticker anyway! I am 250lbs atm and i want to get to 239lbs by june 1st. I want to lose 42lbs this year (thats 3 stone, not some random number!), so i have it broken into 1.5 stone (or 21lbs) in 6 months.

I'm just awesome like that

No set plan. I'm just eating a TON better. (like, a TON).
For breakfast I usually eat oatmeal with fruit, or greek yogurt with fruit.
Lunch is always a green smoothie (milk, greek yogurt, natural PB, 2c. spinach, 1 banana) and some type of protein (a whole wheat wrap with turkey and spinach, mustard.. or a whole wheat egg wrap. Or chicken). I usually have brown rice chips on the side (my new healthy find). And dinner is whatever I serve the family, and just watching portions. Tons of fruits and veggies (I usually get 5-7 a day), ALL whole grains (whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, tortillas and rice- no whites), lean proteins and dairy. I switched from regular yogurt to greek, lowered my fast food intake and drink a ton of water. Exercise 3 (ish) times a week.

I feel loads better. LOADS.

what types of exercises do you ladies do??

my main one is the elliptical....i've had it for about 2 weeks now...and i LOVE it....i also get in the Wii fit and then i got The Biggest Looser Challenge on the Wii that I started doing

I also try to do at least 100 crunches a day and 100 Russian Twists a day

and I work out anywhere from 30mins to 2 hours a day depends on the day my goal is to burn at least 340 calories a day...I usually get up to the 500+ a day though

Erika, well done hun, sounds like you are really in control. Delighted to hear you are feeling so good. Would love to see some of your food diaries!

Samantha, what program are you doing? Well done on your loss so far!

Kristy, I am only walking atm. I walk as fast as i can possibly go for half an hour. I am so unfit i actually find it REALLY difficult. If its raining i do an exercise dvd for half an hour.

Right now, the exercise bike. I have one @ home. I'm averaging 3x a week, 30 minutes each time. I really, really have to force myself because I freaking hate exercise. Hate. I do enjoy walking (fast pace) and will do that once we don't have 7" of snow around.

oh man i hate walking. I dont have the space or money for gym equipment, but i would love an exercise bike. I was a member of the gym about 2 years ago, and would sit on the bike and read or watch tv (they would put the soaps on in the gym right in front of the bike! you had to bring your own headphones) but i would stay there for ages and would feel fine!
Walking is so boring. Even tho i live in such a beautiful place, in the countryside, and i should appreciate the wonder of nature, all i can think of is the crappy pavements and the smell of cow poop. Its so bad harry doesnt sleep while we walk, the path is too bumpy!

Although i did see one FINE looking farmer yesterday.

LOL!
I don't ever take Alexis when I walk for exercise, maybe that's why I like it so much. I usually do it when DH is home, and he'll stay back with her. Or I'll do it when she's in school, and I blast my music in headphones. Doesn't feel like exercise to me.

Speaking of exercise- I did my bike for 30 today (torture) and then I shoveled for 20 minutes- WET heavy awful snow. I can barely move today. But I'm proud!
