Do you wear shoes in your home? How about guest? Do you make them take the shoes off?

I personally dont wear shoes, and i get jake to take them off too, but i would never ask guests to take them off. I have wooden floors all over the house. I might feel different if it was carpet!

We all take them off. I would never force, or really even ask, a guest to take them off. But more guests do take them off.

i try to enforce the no shoe policy in this house....it just doesn't work....no one ever friggen listens to me....and i WOULD make the guests take off their shoes if the rest of the family would just follow instructions lol....its MY house...my rules....i think if i had carpet throughout the house i would be more adamant about the shoe thing...but i have wood floors throughout the downstairs...so its not like its that difficult to clean or anything

We sometimes wear shoes, sometimes not. It's more of a comfort thing than a cleanliness thing. I don't mind if guests wear shoes.

Ditto this... although when we go out in the backyard during this muddy time of year and muck about, we wind up taking our shoes off more often than not, and then it IS a cleanliness thing!

I haven't ever asked a guest to take his shoes off, but most people do anyway.

I enforce no shoes in the house, for DH and I. If my mom or someone stops over I am not going to ask them to take them off. Im so funny though, after someone leaves my house and they had shoes on I clean the floor right away. Im a germ freak.

People do right now and i hate it. I am about to steam clean the carpets really good again and then i am posting a sign on my door saying shoes off, lol. Tyler will be mobile soon and i dont want her laying on nasty stuff people have stepped in like dirt or dog poo.

Doesn't bother me what people do. What ever they are comfortable with. We don't do shoes in the house more for comfort, but with my yard, it doesn't matter if we take shoes off or not, they floor gets dirty and I clean it every day. We have wood laminate floors.
