None of them have ever gotten lost but I have tried to teach them to find a trusted adult, like police or if it's in a store an employee.
Nathan did once scare the bleep out of us. I got up and he was not in his room then wasn't down stairs. I SCREAMED for my DH and we searched and searched and the doors were all locked and he was 3 so I knew IF he had gone outside he would not have locked the door on his way out. On the verge of calling 911 we found him hiding behind a table leaf that was propped up on a wall and he had pulled a huge pack of paper towels up next to him so we didn't see him. OMG it was awful!
ugh speaking of getting lost....helena last night...she didnt get lost she was in the house.....but she was hiding from me!!! i was looking all over the friggen house for her and dh knew exactly where she was....and he was letting me freak out!! grrrrrrrr
I haven't talked to my daughter yet about it...I've only talked to her about strangers and just the thought of me losing her somewhere would freak me out. Haven't had it happen yet but I guess I do need to talk to her about it since she thinks she is a 16 yr old trapped in an almost 4 yr old body.
