Jake told me today that he doesnt want me to kiss him goodbye at school anymore. I could tell he was building up to say something and he said it really gently, I think he was so worried about hurting my feelings. I dont want to embarrass him and told him that was no problem and pretended not to be upset at all, but i am a little heartbroken. I didnt think this day would come so fast!
Ladies with small babies, cherish every kiss and cuddle and dont ever think that you will spoil them by holding them or loving on them too much, cos they grow up so fast!!!!
That made me tear up a little. I just pictured my own son saying that to me *tear* That must have been a hard moment. I think I would just bawl my eyes out right there and then, but of course to spare his feelings I would try my best to hold it all in. I think Harvey is growing way too quickly as well. In what seem's like a blink he is a toddler demanding stuff from me and being just down right bossy. How I wish I could cradle him like a little newborn again
Brody did the same thing around that same age. It broke my heart, but he got over it. One of his friends told him that REAL men aren't ashamed of kissing their mamas!! Now he kisses me all the time in front of whoever he wants, and if someone says anything he tells them the same.
Alexis is 6 and still lets me kiss her when I bring her to school.. I would be crushed if she told me to stop. I bet boys are quicker to stop something like that, girls are mushy little creatures.
