What do you like to spend money on that some people would consider a "waste?"

__________________________________________________ _______________________

I buy expensive fabric softener because i love the smell!
I only use a certain type of deodorant, when some of the cheaper brands would be fine!
We eat out alot, like twice a week.
I get a coffee from a fancy coffee shop almost every week day.

I have tons more, but i'll wait until you guys throw some out there!

Uhhh most things!

Honestly, we are really bad with our money =\

We need to start budgeting each week so that we have more "spending money" to have fun with!

We somehow spent $200 on groceries alone last week! We normally only spend about $100 - $120 a week!

Nothing really anymore. I'm the one who pays the bills so I know we don't have a whole lot of extra money these days.
Though when we do have anything extra its usually spent on things we don't really need.

most of my stuff isnt really on myself, its things that i just like to buy for us all. I actually saw this thread on another site, and alot of people had things like paying for amazon prime, using disposable wipes instead of a spray and cloth, premium brands of items instead of the just as good generic, buying really good quality clothes so they last forever etc.

van, i spend a ton on gas too. I actually crack up if i stay home all day. and harry gets bored so he cries most of the day if we are home. hence my purchase of fancy coffee every week day!

Oh, there are so many things...

I didn't think about the fabric softener and deodorant until I read that, but I do the same!

I used to spend a lot shoes when I was teaching, since I was on my feet all day.

GUM!!! Definitely not a necessity, but I like to have it .

The stay-fresh packs for saltines, ritz, and graham crackers. I think it makes them taste SOOO much better.

I like to buy crafts and stuff... so I have all kinds of projects that I've spent money on, then started, then haven't finished, LOL.

I buy pretty much all name brand things instead of the grocery store brand, but I only buy stuff when it goes on sale. So nothing really... if it's on sale, I'll but a few of one thing to have a bit of a stock. I just can't afford to splurge on anything, budget is way too tight.

I don't ever spend money on myself unless it's something I can't do without. As a family, though, we definitely eat fast food too often! That's certainly a "waste" to most people but some days I think it's SO worth it not to cook lol

Also, as of late, pre-packaged foods that take little effort. I usually make things from scratch but after H was born it was just too much work for DH to manage so we started going to boxes/cans that take little prep work and are easy.

My razors - I have to have Schick Intuition. Tried other cheaper ones and they don't cut it! I have to buy Charmin toilet paper and Jif peanut butter, regardless of cost or sale. Those are non-negotiable to me.

I also get my hair cut in an expensive salon. I only go 2-3 times per year, so it's not too big a deal but with naturally curly hair, I want a professional who knows what they're doing.

I buy everything name brand at the grocery too. It seems like the price of the generic has gone up or is it just me?

ok, here are some of mine

We spend €10 extra a month to have a slightly faster internet speed.
I have an android. it costs €5 extra a month, but i love it.
I LOVE magazines. i dont buy them often, but when i do, i buy expensive glossy foodie ones. I used to buy 2 every month, but had to cut that out, it was ridiculous.
I dont use the library. I buy the books new. I tried the library but they never had what i wanted, and if they did i would have to wait over a month for the book i wanted. plus i had to pay €50 a year for the privalege, so now i buy them new and donate them to charity shops afterwards so i dont feel so guilty!

I buy cleaning products in bulk so I have only have to buy them maybe once or twice a year. My mom considers that a waste, but when I am getting a good deal, I don't. I buy name brand tea and coffee because I love it and will never use anything else. I treat myself to a delicious hot chocolate anytime I go to the mall, which luckily, is only maybe once a month. I think that's it! I don't tend to spend too much money on myself really.

.. we get the highest data plan for our iPhones there is, because we both use phones outside and in public a lot.

.. I use really expensive razors (well, the blades in them) because they work the best.

.. shoes, sneakers and boots. Enough said.

.. perfume. I get expensive perfume.

Reading all of these makes me remember what I spend a little more on.

Lotion. I am very picky with that.
Razors for sure. I only like Schick. (spelling? lol)
I could save $4 and buy the generic A1 Sauce but I wont. A1 is toooo dang tasty!
