I'm not sure if you guys remember but my in-laws hit a rough patch financially and were dangerously close to losing their house so we moved in with them to help get them caught up and make repairs. I thought it would work out well because we would be able to save money to put toward buying a home of our own but things didn't work out as planned. We were spending more money at their house than we were spending when we had a house of our own and my MIL is impossible to live with. She is crazy (literally) and went around the house fussing all the time about how dirty it was.

I am, admittedly, not the best housekeeper in the world but I do keep a clean home. I can't go behind my children picking up after them every second of the day though. I have other things that I have to do, like run my business. Anyhoo, she blew up one night and told my husband all I ever do is sit on my ***** and that all she asks of me is that I sweep the living room (which I should state I did multiple times a day along with doing the dishes, sweeping the rest of the house, keeping up with the laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc) and that she "never had to live in such horrible conditions before" which just hurt my feelings tremendously and pissed me off to no end.

We immediately started looking for somewhere else to live but we have dogs so that was hard. We FINALLY found something that we like and accepts pets and moved in this past weekend. The internet got hooked up yesterday and I feel like I can actually breathe!

I don't think I have ever been so glad for a chapter in my life to be finished!

I'm happy for you! I can't imagine being stuck in another person's home, cleaning and caring for it only to have them insult and hurt you. And your own family too... I'm glad you guys have some space again and that your kids don't have to deal with all that commotion anymore. Will be praying for your ILs though!

Wow....That's RIDICULOUS and I'm so glad you're out of there and in a place of your own. I can't imagine how hard it would be to live in someone else's house. Especially with them being your in-laws and not your own parents. I'm so glad you have your space back!

Thanks everybody. I am so much happier now! I didn't realize how unhappy I truly was until we moved, LOL.
