Besides to occasionally re-heat something, I dont use my microwave. I have a big one that can be used as a oven roaster and I have never used the metal rack that goes in it to do that...I dont think I even know how to

But I hear it can be used for other things rather just cooking or reheating food like, unclog mascara, dye clothes, remove gum from clothes, unpeel old stamps, peel tomatoes, open oysters, the llist goes on and on.....

I've never used it for anything else either...

I use it daily though to heat water for tea, reheat food or veggies.

PS I never use the metal rack either, I have not idea what it's for. Maybe someone here uses it and can enlighten us..lol

I use mine quite often.. The house we just bought came with a flat top stove. I cannot for the life of me make Rice-a-roni on it. A) I burn the rice and B) Its never cooked enough.. even though it is burned. So I microwave cook rice. I make Top Ramen in there because its faster. Making burritos or cheese crisps, I microwave to melt cheese.. Hmm Im sure there is more that I use it for.

Daily. I use it to reheat my 2 cups of coffee a day, because I drink slow and like REALLY hot coffee. So I usually nuke my cup halfway in. I use it to re-heat certain leftovers, make frozen veggies, etc.

I also throw my sponge in there once a day- it kills the bacteria.

Our old one broke and really the only time we used it was if we were rushing around and for lunch made a hot pocket or something simple like that and didnt want to dirty up/ have enough time for making a full on lunch. So I would say we use it maby once every two months, lol. We did get a new one though for Christmas and I have been using it at night to heat up water for my tea since my tea kettle broke but once I replace that this weekend we wont use it often again.

I use ours almost daily for reheating or cooking food. I've never heard of those other things. Very interesting!
