No flu shots for any of us either. I'm a SAHM to two little ones and another on the way.
I have asthma and my doctor always recommends it for me and the kids. I hate how it makes me feel, I don't get the kids one, just myself. But she has really been pushing it. I never had the flu but a normal cold makes me sicker than most, so it scares me a bit. But from what I read, you can still get the flu even with the shot, it's only 60 percent effective.
We don't get flu shots. None of us ever really got very sick during the winter until DD started kindergarten. DH can't take cold medicines, tylenol, or antibotics so when he gets sick it really sucks. Thankfully when we do get sick, it usually hits me the worst and DD and DH mildly.
The only time I ever got one, the year I worked as a CNA in a hospital, I still got the flu and passed it on to DH and DS. None of us have ever had the flu otherwise, and I will NOT be getting a shot again.
