Does anyone else have an early bird?

My daughter has been waking up between 5 (yuck!) and 6 (manageable) for months! Most of the time it's 5 or 5:30 which just seems soo early.

It doesn't matter if she is in bed at 7 or 8:30, she wakes up at the same time.

How do I get her out of this?

She still takes 2 naps per day, but that is kind of the way it goes when you wake up at 5:30 you know? Keeping her up until lunch for her nap is next to impossible.

Anyone have any experience or advice?

Wish I had an answer but all 3 of mine are up early. Used to be up by 530ish but now the younger two are up between 630a and 7a and my oldest is up before 6a but doesnt come out of his room til 6a on the dot!(he's nearly 9).

So I have 3 early birds. Doesnt help that Im up by 5a myself daily nor what time any of us go to bed. But I blame genetics cuz my family are all early birds...always have been on both my dad and moms side LOL. My husband used to be an early bird too but not like me.

Yes!!! Harry is a super early bird. It could be any time from 4.30am to about 6.30am. Rarely past that!

I dont have any advice, just TONNES of sympathy!

Harry only has one nap a day tho, he usually goes back to bed about 3 or 4 hrs after he wakes (nap time changes depending on what time he gets up.) and sleeps for 2-3 hrs. He does get fussy about 4pm but goes to bed by 7.30pm.

Is her room dark enough? I put blankets over Riley's windows in the summer when it was light out past his 8:00 bed time. I tried taking the blankets down once it was winter and getting dark early, and he started waking up at the crack of dawn. I put the blankets back up and he went back to sleeping until 7:30 or 8:00. He also naps better with a dark room.

I wish I had some advice for you. Zoey wakes up at 5 am too but she is still waking up 2-3 times a night. I am going to be happy to be past this stage when she starts sleeping through the night.

^It could be a while! My daugher only STTN for the first time about a month ago at 16 months old. She does most times now unless her teeth are bothering her.

None of mine are early risers, I have to fight to get my oldest two out of bed at 6am for school lol. The other two would sleep till 8 or 9 if we didn't have to go to the bus stop!

Lily was that was until she was like 5, now I have to battle her to get up. No advice except to keep her room dark and maybe let her stay up a tad later at night.
