since my last night at work. I'm "technically" still employed until the 6th, but I offered my remaining shifts to anybody that wanted them and managed to get off the schedule even quicker than I'd hoped.

And now I'm jumpy every time the phone rings or if I get a text, like they are going to get me somehow and MAKE me go back. I don't want to, ever! I don't think I was able to admit just how miserable that job made me until I was out of it! My day is so much simpler now that I'm home. All I have to do is everything at home, not everything at home plus working nights. And sleeping good! OMG, for months I would go 22+ hours without sleep a couple times a week. Just to be able to go to bed every single night has been luxury.

Sorry to ramble, but I figured if anybody would understand it would be you ladies.

Yay! I am so happy for you. What a relief/weight lifted off your shoulders.

Even if they try to get you to come in for another shift or something... just say no. What are they going to do, fire you?

I was going to say the same thing as Rachel, I wouldn't go in for another shift if you want to be done. Just say sorry, I made plans!!

Yep, if they were to call that's exactly what I would say. I just hate that feeling of being put on the spot, ya know? I'm so very bad about saying "yes" when I really need to say "no".

I completely understand. I quit my job when my oldest was 10 months, i had just found out i was pregnant again and my 10 month old was always so sick. I actually could not go in for my last day because he got sick. I have loved every minute of being home. Plus some sleep will be amazing for you.
