Did you start shopping for your kids summer clothes yet?

I got some stuff but it's such pain for dd since she needs shorts for school because they have to wear uniforms, then she needs clothes to wear every day, it costs me a small fortune. Whomever said that school uniforms for public school is cheaper than just buying school clothes, is crazy...I have to buy 2 sets now./my little rant

I've gotten some stuff so far. My mom ordered some things for her about a month ago. I got her a couple things for her birthday, but I want to wait and see what she gets at her party before I buy to much more. I am having the hardest time finding her any shoes or flip flops! She wears a 4.5-5 and there is such little selection to begin with. I don't want to pay $15-20 for flip flops that are only going to last for the summer!

Kristy, I used to live in that school district and the uniforms were one of the reasons we decided to move out of it. My brother still goes there and it was a headache with the uniforms. He is in adult sizes now so the clothes are even more expensive.

Well, my kids pretty much wear summer clothes year round. We have a few days over winter they will require sweaters and pants but for the most part all we own and buy is shorts and tshirts! I don't really go buy a bunch of clothes all at once anymore, I just buy things here and there as I find them or the kids need them. I will need to go get new swimwear for everyone this year though!

We both need new bathing suits :/ I can't really get a lot a whole wardrobe for her this year because things are tight....I'll probably get her 1 good outfit and some sandals and then here and there pick up some shorts to play in. Luckily she has a lot of short sleeve shirts already because she prefers short sleeves....of course at school if it's cold I make her wear longer sleeves. As soon as she gets home she puts on shorts no matter the weather!

yeah, Audrey got summer clothes for her birthday/with birthday money
I started buying one thing at a time for my step kids last fall when stuff was on sale and now they each have enough outfits for their visit, I just scored 4 pairs of flip flops for them both for 1$ each.
I may have to get Audrey a couple more shirts but that's about it.
when the stepkids get here we'll get them all new tennis shoes.

I got a bunch of hand me downs for Rose and a few things for Connor. Connor grows so slowly that most of his stuff from last year still fits him. I will probably go this week to get a few more things.

No we have not. We have bought a few shirts here and there, we keep talking about how we have to though. I just need to get my butt to Target and do it already.

So far I've only bought stuff for the boys.. Both needed shorts and Garrett needed short sleeve shirts..

I have bought a couple of dresses for Ellie and a swim suit.. But really, we need to go through last Summers clothes and see what fits and what doesnt and go from there.
