That my house will never ever again be perfectly spotless! I am a tidy person but recently I have just let it go! Not entirely, but I do not pick up as much as I once did. I do most of my cleaning while Drake is asleep. I cannot get anything done with a 16 month old running around. Well, I "can" but he helps, which I do not mind at all, it just takes longer. So, I told DH today at lunch that I am making the house a sign, and it will say:

"A Stay at Home Moms house is NOT messy, it's lived in!"

Yep. This will justify for when I have unexpected visitors.

LOL! Hoarders are nasty! And crazy! When I watch that show I am in complete awe! I have no idea how anything CAN get that bad. I know they say it's an illness, but really?...that's insane!

It does get better! My house is a complete tip with harry. Its clean under the mess, but its too hard to keep it tidy.

But, jake is 5.5 years old and old enough to tidy up after himself when he is finished, make his bed, put his dirty clothes in the hamper and he doesnt just pull everything out of the toy boxes cos he feels like it! So i'm hoping that harry will get to that stage eventually too!

There is hope!

It does get better and maybe you'll get lucky and have an OCD/clean child. 1 of my boys is a cleaner but things have to get really bad before it kicks in, lol.

Eh, I decided Id rather have my house looked lived in than perfectly spotless.

And with 3 boys it works out well LOL. None are cleaners but at least my youngest will help. They clean up their rooms at night but their version of cleaning up involves bulldozing their disaster to the wall and leaving it there.

If they hadnt have busted their toy box...it would look nicer in there. For now Ive given up on it. But I may just get rid of 90% of their toys and force them to do other things like read LOL. My house would be a bit cleaner if that happened.

I have ages 11, 7, 3 (almost 4) and 19 months and I feel like all I do is clean sometimes! NONE of my kids got my desire for "cleanliness" and when I give them jobs to do they act like the world is ENDING. I have some issues with a clean house, I just have to have a clean house to be happy. Mess makes me crazy, so having 4 boys who would happily just trip over stuff for the rest of their life may be the death of me lol.

Ugh, my house is never "clean". I should say it's clean but messy if that makes sense. I cringe when someone knocks on my door when I least expect it, I'm afraid they will get eaten by toys!! Especially cars, my son is obsessed and has them lined up all over the place...LOL

I know what you mean Kristy. My house is messy but it is clean. There is a difference from being dirty.
