Back story is over two weeks ago my DD (11) suffered a concussion playing hockey. Her symptoms have been getting better but haven't subsided.

Today she is going back to school for the first time since getting hurt. This will be the first time she has been away from me (or DH) since the concussion.

I am a nervous wreck. She is only going for two hours today to ease back in. She is not allowed to do Physical Ed, recess, computers (which are a big trigger) or music.

Thanks ladies, she was at school for 1hr and 40 minutes. I almost started crying when I dropped her off. Se said that she was going to tell her friends not to worry about her but worry about her mom because mom was going to have a heart attack

Anyway, no incidents but she did start to get a headache during the last half hour. She will try another two periods tomorrow but I will stay in my youngest's Kindergarten class this time.

The Dr said she is recovering well but it will take time. She is much better than she was last week at this time.

Glad she made it through with no major problems! I can imagine how worried you must've been. Hope she's back to herself soon.

Oh im so sorry. My DD got a concussion about 7 months ago. She was 2 at the time. She pulled a desk over on herself. It was so scary and i felt like she was made of glass for weeks after. It took Rose a little over a month to seem "normal" again. I think her going back to school will take alot of easing into it for both of you. I will keep you all in my prayers.
