As Ive mentioned before in a couple spots...I spent time in the ER because my oldest(9) got mad while playing and knocked down my youngest(5) hard enough and onto a plastic toy...busted my youngests' arm and he needed 5 staples in his head.

Aside from that it was a blah day cuz Id been trying to kick the flu Id had the day before and was still not 100% that day.

My friends made sure I got a couple nice things(plant, cake, card) so that was very sweet of them.

Well, it didn't end with me disappointed and in tears, so I suppose that's improvement over the last couple years. My sweet engineer husband just cannot figure out holidays, much less one where he pampers people. The night before, he pulled me aside and said "Okay, I don't want tomorrow to be a disaster as it has been in the past...Is there anything you want me to do other than take you to lunch or dinner?" It was kind of cute, actually. I guess I should be thrilled that he's asking and trying to learn from past experiences.

It was good. DH went into work late so I could see him in the morning. He and DS gave me a beautiful bracelet, I got a long hot shower and DH made me breakfast. Then DS and I went to the farmers market with my mom. My in laws came over later in the day for a bit as well.

I had a wonderful Mothers Day! The bets one yet! DH let me sleep in until 2pm, then when I woke there were fresh chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and fried potatoes with coffee. MMMM!! After that, my Mom came over and I took Drake outside with my younger brother while Dave cooked dinner. He made panko chicken, broccoli and rice with sweet tea. THEN I got my gifts, I got two owl wind chimes, an owl garden rain collector, a fake yellow towel rose (its sooo freakin cute!), a Owl garden decoration thing. Its an owl head on a metal stick so I can put it in the ground. I got an white rock with an owl painted on it and Drake "made" me a moon that is hung on the wall that says "We love you Mamma." THEN when my Mom left DH cleaned both bathrooms and the kitchen because he said to me "You will do no chores today." When Drake went to bed we watched 2 episodes of The Amazing Race. I had SUCH a good day!!

Mine was pretty lame. We were all sick with this really horrible cold virus. We ordered pizza that I couldn't taste though.
