Do you buy brand name shoes for you and your kids?
Do you always stick to that brand or do your choices depend on price?
What do you look for in a shoe for your kids, eg durability, style, colour etc.

Hate shoes.
I buy off brands, budget friendly stuff that the boys pick out themselves.

For Avery I am not picky. Her grandma often buys her shoes, and I am thankful for the gifts. I sometimes buy them used off of swap and shop pages on facebook when there is a good deal on someone selling a large lot of them. I don't worry too much about kids shoes because I know she will be out of them soon enough.

For me, comfort is a big deal. I usually do try to buy more expensive brands, like Clark's, Brown's, Naturalizer but I don't always. And I regret it when I don't!!!

I am in the market for new shoes.

Yes.

No just buy whatever is cute/we like/ fits in budget. I dont buy shoes from places like walmart though.

Looks like it is well made and will last a good while. Whatever colors etc they want..I dont really like character shoes either. A lot of them look like they are cheaply made.

for the older kids we buy them name brand if we can find them on clearance.
otherwise it's from payless.
Audrey gets shoes from the dollar store, payless, sears.. I refuse to pay over $15 for any pair of shoes for her, she went from a size 6 to a 7 over night and I got two pairs of shoes from the dollar store for 6 bucks each and they're pretty nice, one is like a knock off converse brand.
I also got her some super cute dress shoes for $5 from the .99 store!
I will probably get her winter boots from sears if I can find some on sale and have a coupon.
I look for style mostly for Audrey, something that will go with multiple outfits,

For kids it's whatever I can find on clearnace or on sale for a good price.
For me I do name brand because I have wide feet and usally try to find reeboks sense they fit the best and last a long time, that said I will only buy them on clearance and will buy them when I find them for cheap. Sometimes I have a pair sitting in my closet for almost a year before they get worn becasue I bought them when my other pair was almost new.
For dress shoes I just buy what ever fits thats on clearance, but it is hard when hardly any dress shoe fits my wide feet!

I always stick to the same brands for the kids shoes. Since Jakes first pair I've gotten Clarks, and I dont mind the price as long as they are good fit and comfortable. Jake has flat feet and issues with the bones in his ankle so we switched to Geox brand on advice of the physiotherapist.
Harry has only ever worn Clarks shoes.

For myself I like heavenly feet but got a pair of TOMS for the summer and they are like a dream. They are not suitable for the winter tho, so I am hoping they will bring out a winter style!

It really depends I try not to spend more than 20 bucks on shoes for the kids because quite honestly they grow out of them so fast! I am lucky cause my kids are pretty easy on shoes too....they usually last 2 years unless they outgrow them....so its easy to hand them down to the younger kids

so if they happen to be on sale in a brand name I'd get them

All 3 of us get name brand, from sneaker stores (i.e. not Target, walmart, etc) and I'm firm on that, because I think they're better for your feet.

DH gets his from a running store, good sneakers are important for him because he runs 40 miles a week. He usually does New Balance.

I get Nike 100% of the time, they fit me the best and feel the best!

Alexis either gets Nike, New Balance or Puma. Her sneakers are $50 this year that she picked, boooo. But I feel it's important for her growing feet, especially in the gym class. She also doesn't outgrow sneakers quick. Last years pair lasted the whole school year.

I only buy Nike for sneakers for myself. Outside of that anything goes. I haven't bought shoes for L yet and wont for awhile yet but I wont stick to a certain brand unless it is necessary.
