Corey will be 2 in 2 weeks and has been showing all the signs of readiness. It must be because he has an older sister because she never showed any and I had to encourage her to train. Anyhow, I took off his diaper yesterday, showed him the little potty and let him go. He didn't make it at all yesterday, but he tried. Today he went 3 times in the potty (and about 7 on the floor) but he tells me if he misses and we go clean it up. Luckily we have hard wood floors and tile all through out our house and rolled up the turkish rugs for now.

Anyhow I think he is doing great! My big boy. No poops yet on the potty but that will happen. He is so determinded to do it.

He starts preschool in 2 weeks too, so I really didn't want to start potty training this close to that big change, but he so wanted to do it. If he regresses and wants diapers after he starts preschool that is fine too.

Good luck. my dd will be 2 in dec and shows readiness. She can tell me when she has to go, ut right now she's terrified of going on the potty and will scream, so she just tells me when she has gone in her diaper. LOL! I hope this stage passes.-Jamie

You know I've heard that but I'm finding my son to be much easier then my daughter. I think having the competition with an older sibling close in age is fueling it. He wants to do everything she does.

So did you take her to Disneyland? My daughter would have expected it if I said it. She also had a poop problem and I remember her coming to me and asking for a diaper when she had to poop. Now she "reads" her magazines on the potty.

Both my boys were easy to potty train , (dont know were u heard they were hard) the only problem i had with my oldest was the poop thing he would no go , he would hold it fight me the only way i could get him to go is ( this is grouse) in a bath cuz he wouldnt even go in his pull up . After a while he got braver but he s now 6 1/2 and still isnt very regular . My youngest he was so easy and fast ..
