You’ve cleared a major hurdle in potty-training – your child has learned to use the bathroom successfully – but once you leave your house it’s a different story entirely. Your child becomes fearful and agitated and refuses to “go” in a strange bathroom. If you feel like you’re stuck in this situation, you’re not alone.
What great tips! My eldest daughter was pretty scared of public bathrooms when she started training. We always made sure that we had our insert with us and only used toilets with manual flushes... she was so scared of the automatic ones. I think the article makes a great point about treating it as a fear of your child's not as a misbehavior!
