This has alarming amounts of mis information in the actual care for an intact infant. First of all the only person that should be retracting a foreskin is the person it's connected to. Secondly once the foreskin can move freely soap should not be used. Not even mild soap. It would be like using soap inside a vagina. The other point that stands out in my mind is the time frame for natural separation. This is a long process that starts around age 4-8 and isn't finished until the end of puberty. In other words: only clean what is seen and wipe it gently like a finger. Never wiping back in the direction of the baby's body.
Once the boy is retracting it and cleaning it on his own the best practice is to rinse with warm water and let air dry before returning the skin to it's protective covering the glans place.
