im very confused as to how exactly work out when i conceieved. i have a very irregular period and since i didnt know when my last period was i went in for a first scan and they said i was 5 and a half weeks based on the size of the baby after they measured it on my 2nd dating scan 2 weeks later i was 7 weeks 6 days pregnant based on the size of the baby again since they were unsure of my last period etc im now 12 weeks 2 days and due may 3rd 2012 but am confused with the whole gestational age carry on if they say my baby is 12 weeks 2 days based on the measurements is this how old my baby actually is or the gestational age? my midwife said my conception date was around 10th august however 40 weeks back from 3rd may is around 28th to 29th of july and the lady who did my very 1st scan gave me 28th to the 29th july aswell i broke up with my partner on august the 4th and had a 1 night stand on august the 9th so am trying to figure out when i conceieved so i will have a fair idea of who the father is someone please help iv had many sleepless nights worrying about it thank u
