The first day of my last cycle was Oct 22, judging by that & the fact that I'm usually regular and maintain a 28-29 day cycle, I should have ovulated Nov 5. I was due for my period November 19.. it's been 16 days and I have yet to start. I had a feeling I was pregnant because I had major mood swings and my breasts were sensitive and I've been nauseous so I've been taking pregnancy tests every two or three days since 3 days before I missed my period, ALL of them were negative. I went to the doctor yesterday and low and behold the urine tests says pregnant but it was a faint positive.
According to my cycle, I should have been 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant as of yesterday. However, the ultrasound and blood test show something completely different. The blood test came back with 20-25 hcg levels (low and barely enough to be a positive pregnancy) and the ultrasound showed that I ovulated and that the sperm and egg were together but we're unclear of when this happened and if it's a viable pregnancy.
My doctor stated it could be a chemical positive OR I could be pregnant but only 3-4 weeks along (which agrees with the blood results).
I'm impatient and nervous. I have a blood test tomorrow to see if the HcG levels are doubling as they should but won't get the results until Monday.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you have a healthy pregnancy or should I prepare for the worst?
