You may be getting close! I'm not too sure about all the symptoms cause I didn't go into labor! Good Luck!

doesnt sound like you are in labour now, but probably might go into labour soon.
I always look for contraction to know for sure I am in labour (though once I wasnt even sure about that LOL, I thought they were Braxton Hick contractions and they were the read deal LOL)
you can check your cervix, but I dont know how sorry.

The stringy mucous sounds like your plug beginning to come out. Unfortunately, that is not a good predictor of when labor is about to start, since it can happen hours or 2 weeks before labor actually starts

However, it sounds like your body is definitely preparing! Good luck, and keep us posted!

You are losing your mucous plug. Labor can still be weeks away.

My mucous plug started coming out at about 38 weeks and I didn't go into labor on my own. I had to be induced!

As for checking your own cervix...... probably not a good idea. First of all, the likelihood is that your cervix is very posterior and it is difficult for even the doctor/nurse to check your cervix. My suggestion...... leave it up to the professionals!!!

I definitely think that you are loosing your plug. The rest of those feelings can all just be chalked up to other things. HOWEVER - normally you go into labor within two weeks of loosing your plug...so if you are looking for hope that you are getting close, more likely than not you are!

I agree that it sounds like you're starting to lose your plug. I started having what you're describing the weekend before I had my daughter. A few days later I started having bloody show. I had my daughter the following Friday, so less than a week from when I started losing the plug.

You can never tell what is going on with your body. You might not think you'll deliver for weeks, and then your water will break. Losing your plug isnt' a good indication of labour. I started losing my plug at 30 weeks with my second child and I still delivered 4 days overdue.

I knew I was in labour when I woke up with painful contractions and I was bleeding.

Good luck to you!!!!
