Mine was 17 hours if you only count strong contractions (35 I you're including weak ones) and that got me to 3 cm. Not really a fair representation of a successful labor at all.

What do you consider labor??

From the time my water broke to the time I delivered was 18.5hrs but I didn't have ANY contractions after my water broke...

I was started on pitocin about 6 hours after my water broke so then I would have been in labor 12.5hrs...

32 hours from the time my water broke; 18 hours of painful contraction upon contraction- one came right after the other but were only last 30 seconds so it took FOREVER to dialate

22 1/2 hours with my first - went into labor on my own and was high thick and closed at the start of labor

4 hours from start to finish with my second - I was induced with pitocin with him and was 3cm and 80% effaced before beginning the induction.

My first was 15 hours.
The other two were inductions.
6.5 hours for number 2.
And I believe it was about the same for number 3...

#1: 17 hours from water breaking to delivery.
#2: 6.5 hours from water breaking to delivery.

With both children, my water broke on it's own in the 37th week.

#1 - 3 hours
#2 - 47 minutes
#3 - 1 hr 40 min
#4 - 15 minutes

I should say that I start labor at 5+ cm so that's why mine tend to be short. I was nearing transition when it started with #1&2. I was 5 cm with #3 and 6 cm with #4.

First no signs of labor, cervix not ready, 10 days late, no dialation...went to hospital in morn for gel on my cerivx and then later started pitocin, no pain or anything until middle of the night then finally had baby at 4 am. So who knows how long actual labor.

Second went in morn they started me on pitocin at around 11 am and had baby by 5pm...so actual labor...not sure either but pains didn't start right away of course so maybe 4 hours total? He was a week late and ready to be born!!

3rd went in morn, on pitocin by 11 am didn't have baby till 11 at night. Maybe total labor about 10 hours? She was a week early and wasnt ready to be born i don't think.

This is how I am and it is crazy!!! I don't feel anything until I'm 4-5cm and then watch out!

#1: 1 hour 38 minutes (approx)
#2: 1 hour 10 minutes
#3: 56 minutes
#4: 41 minutes
#5: 32 minutes (I think)
#6: 29 minutes
#7: a few hours...oddball labor that was VERY nice and slow!
#8: 26 minutes

As soon as I hit 3-4cm I head in as I do not desire an unassisted homebirth!
