I'm pretty sure there is no evidence that bedrest helps anything. Considering that, it's ridiculous to require it to the extent of getting a court order.

as someone who was on bedrest this makes me SICK. no one should ever force you to make decisions and you shouldn't be locked in the hospital if you are competent and not a threat to anyone else. this makes me sick

Well most of my family beside my eldest brother goes to the same hospital. All my sisters were told to get up and walk around during there pregnancy. They even gave them balls to bounce on LOL. Well the name of the hospital we go to is Vermont Hospital.

It's definitely messed up. I think a person should be able to refuse treatment, or change hospitals or whatever. I'm 100% NOT ok with ever having to ask a doctor for permission to do anything.
