My son was born at 40weeks 3days after 14 hours of labor. I was given Cervidil to help soften my cervix to get things moving and after 4 hours I was 90% effaced and 3cm (I went in 0cm 0% effaced) I managed crazy back labor for 12 hours before I took an epidural and 2 hours later after Mabey 10 minutes if pushing (6 good pushes was all it took) he was born at 12:31 in the afternoon 😊 I could not have asked for a better labor and delivery. I would go through it all over again! Don't be nervous going in to it. It's hard work but it's manageable. Keep an open mind and know that your only hours away from seeing the best surprise of your life.

42 hours total, I think about 16 hours were hard active labor. I pushed for about an hour they said, but it definitely didn't feel like it.

24 hours on the DOT. induced 7pm sunday night, she was born 7pm monday night. i would say she was a punctual little thing but i was induced because i was 40w5d (she was born on what would have been 40w6d).

i started pushing about 6:30. i felt the urge to about 5pn, but i thought i had to, er, go #2 and didn't know the need to push felt the same. so i held off until a nurse came in and asked "do you want to push?" and i burst into tears and said i needed to go to the bathroom RIGHT NOW, and she laughed and said "honey, you need to push RIGHT NOW". once they calmed me down, things started happening. i didn't even feel her come out and she was huge!
