I'm 12 days PP and my bleeding is completely brown with a slightly pink tinge now. It's like a light-flow day of regular AF. I was changing pads about every 3-4 hours the first 3-4 days. Now I don't need to change it that often but I do to keep my stitches clean. I bought a huge pack of generic overnight pads at the pharmacy for something like $5. I've been using them for almost a week now and I'm not even halfway through the pack. Hope that helps!

Yep,I bought some generic pads (25 or so) at Zellers last week for like $5. I also have a small pack (14) of Incognito MaxiMom pads,Always Overnights with wings (28) and then yesterday got some Stayfree overnight with wings for $3 a pack of 16,but they were a bonus pack so I got a free pack with each pack I bought,so really 26 pads. With my next check I'll try and get more pads, whatever I find on sale. Oh and I also have diapers for me! lol I got them from a free sample!

I liked the overnight pads they were longer than normal pads. Also you usually get some from the hospital as well. for me the flow was BEYOND heavy... i hate thick pads but there was no way the normal thin once i used to use in high school would have been helpful at all. It was a while maybe like 3 weeksish till It wasn't super heavy.

Is there a reason you can't use tampons for PP bleeding? Just curious...

From what i know because your cervix hasnt closed completly your more likely to get a infection if you use tampons.
