Did you look at it?

Did you take it home?

If you took it home, what did you do with it?
Freeze it?
Eat it?
Plant it?
Encapsulate it?

Did anyone donate it? research? Search and rescue dogs?

Did you look at it? Yep.

Did you take it home? Nope.

Did anyone donate it? research? Search and rescue dogs? Nope. I told the midwife to do whatever it was they generally do and not tell me about it. I had no further use for it.

I didn't look at it with Brylie...my CNM said it looked like the placenta of someone who smoked a pack + of cigarettes a day (i have never smoked) so it was immediately sent for testing. Never heard anything back though, so I duno what was going on there....

This time I'm planning on having it encapsulated. Someone is doing it for us, and I am excited! I had pretty bad baby blues/ppd last time and milk supply issues (which we resolved, but still) and I am hoping to avoid those things this time

I didn't look at it, and didn't want to! DH looked at it, and wishes he didn't!

We didn't do anything with it, it was our gift to the hospital.

I didn't look at it... I was too busy getting DD to the breast and too into loving up on my babe...

I will be doing placenta prints and then encapsulating it next time around... I didn't have any PPD but has milk supply issues

Didn't even see it lol. I was in the stirrups another half hour getting stitched up. My mom said she looked at it though. Weird.

Did you look at it? Oh yeah. I love biology so I was fascinated! Both of my placentas were large, healthy and whole.

Did you take it home? It already was (home birth).

If you took it home, what did you do with it?

Both of my boys' placentas are preserved with salt and herbs and stored.

Looked at it with my first and third baby. DH looked at it each time - thought it was cool. Not sure why I didn't check it out with DS.

Nope - left it with the hospital
