My job turned into a living hell this past Feb. when our company merged with another and I went from being the Office Manager to being the "take care of everything and fix all the screw-ups while receiving no raise or respect" person. Since Feb. I have hated my job and my co-workers. For this reason, my last day there will be December 18th, which is my daughter's last day of school before Christmas Break.

I am on blood pressure meds as it is, I just don't want to spend my whole 3rd trimester stressed out at work. According to my last u/s, I am basically due Feb. 28th/March 1st. I want January to be a month of pure relaxation at home.

I haven't thought that far ahead. I will most likely work up until I deliver, unless I get taken off work like I did the last time.

Well I get a year off (since I'm in Canada) and I have 3 weeks vacation I need to use before that. So I figure I'll take my 3 weeks right before my due date, so probably be leaving around February 26, 2010 or so. Then my maternity leave will actually begin March 19, 2010 and even if baby is late, I can still have one full year off with baby (and can use some vacation time the following year so I don't miss baby's 1st birthday because of work or something silly).

I'll be working up until my water breaks or I just can't possibly work any more. I'll be taking 4 months off total.

I am due March 28th and plan to just keep on working til I go into labor. This will be a first for me. So, we will see how it goes. But, I am a teacher and therefore I can sit whenever I need to. Even now, I sit alot. Even if I am teaching a specific lesson I am finding the need to sit and not move around the classroom as much as I used to. However, my class is so small; only seven kids, so it works ok. I already have the entire year planned, so it will be super easy for whoever comes in to pick up right where I left off. If I go into labor before my due date unexpectedly, then they can still easily figure it out. Of course knowing me, I will probably put together folders for every week I am gone with lesson plans and curriculum and extra activities and art lessons and supplies, etc. I can't give up full control HAHAHA. I will take 6 weeks off after the baby is born, go back for the last 6 weeks of school (that's assuming she comes right on time and there are no complications). Then I will take the whole summer off. Luckily, the baby will get to come with me to work because we have a nursery there. So I will be able to nurse her at lunch and recess.

So that's the plan for now.

I will be at work until I go into labor! I only get 6 weeks paid and then 2 weeks vacation that I am forced to take so eight weeks later back to work I will go.

Work till he pops out, then back to work in 6 weeks - which will be after Spring Break...of course, I'm a teacher, so I get off in June and then have 3 months with him till I got back again, which I'm thrilled about

I am working until I go into labor...I am on restricted duty at work (I work in law enforcment), so it's not like I'm doing anything really difficult...it's a lot less stress, that's for sure!!!
I am taking 12 weeks off (1/2 of my own paid time off I have saved, 1/2 unpaid), and then I will be going back!
I wish I didn't have to go back to work EVER, but financially, it's impossible right now as my hubby is still looking for a good job. At least I like my job! It could be a lot worse.
I just can't wait to meet my baby!

Unless things change with my pregnancy (knock on wood because it has been very good so far), I will work until I go into labor! My company wants me here as long as I can stay and that way I can take more time off after the baby is born....I'm planning on going back to work 3 months after this boy is born.
