How old were you when you got your first period?

My 12th birthday had to be one of the worst days of my life. I had ACL knee surgery and I started my period on the same day!

Age 12, I was in 6th grade and I remember my outfit I was wearing,
plaid capri type pants that were like a tweedish material almost and were like dark plum and green and a bit of a mustard color, then a brownish tshirt with a funky vest over top and I think vans sneakers, I had on magenta gitano underwear that had mod women faces in black all over them hahahha....it was right before math class my final class of the day and I thought I felt something but ignored it and went to class. I got home went the bathroom and saw some blood and hollered out to my mom "hey mommmmm I am a woman now" she replied with "ooh aren't you lucky!" LOL I went to a middle school basketball game that night.

I can barely remember, I think maybe I was 13. I don't recall anything about it for some reason, must not have been too traumatic or made a big deal of by my mom.

14? It was the year before I entered HS.

I was 12 and it was the very day I was leaving for a road trip alone with my older brother (19 at the time) to stay with him for a week. Luckily we hadn't left yet when it started but I was mortified to have him know and to have to get pads and deal with all that with him and not with my mom around. He was a good sport about it though!

I was 14 and it was right after I started the 9'th grade.

I was in 5th or 6th grade probably 6th. I was in the same classroom for 3 yrs in a row but had different teachers. I can picture the room but can't remember which grade it was.

It was 1 month after my 11th birthday so summer before going into grade 6.
