Today Emmersyn & I had a lovely mommy and me day! We haven't gotten out of the house much since getting pregnant because I've just been so dang exhausted. And with daddy home a lot this past month, any time I've had an appointment or just needed to run a short errand I've left her with him where as usually I'll take her.
Well I had an eye appointment today & I told DH earlier in the week, I had mentioned that I can take her if he had any plans or anything that it was just a quick follow up appointment. No plans were made by him, but he did ask me to take her. So I did. We left about an hour before my appointment so we can shop at the Exchange, which is where my appointment was near, for a few things I needed for our trip next week. . . So we shopped, spent too much money and got out of there much quicker then I thought. So we took our things to the car - And walk back to get cash & get a small bag of kettle corn. We find a bench in the shade and plop down to eat our kettle corn.
We then had to go to my appointment so I closed up the bag & handed it to her to carry. A few times while we were waiting in the eye place, she asked for more kettle corn but I told her that we couldn't eat it while inside so she had to wait until we were all done. She was content with that and kept herself occupied with the chair. Appointment was quick & easy - We were in and out.
On the way to the car I let her walk. However, she did NOT want to hold my hand. Before we got to the parking lot she fell to the ground on her knees in a fit. I got down to her level and told her "You can either hold my hand and walk, or I will carry you." She then stood up and continued walking - Holding my hand. When we got to the car, I got her all set up with her own little baggy of kettle corn.
I then took her to get her hair trimmed. Her bangs were almost in her eyes - And I thought she just needed a little trim to freshen up her hair. My mom trimmed her hair in Sept, and it made it look so much healthier and it grew like a weed since then. This was her 1st Salon cut. I could've waited until we're home in a week for my mom to do it, for free, but we were having a good day & I wanted that experience. She did okay. It took less then 5 minutes. About half way through she just wasn't so sure of it and half cried/whined. But it was over before she knew it and she got some animal crackers!
I decided to do some mommy pampering, too, so I went and got a pedicure. Emmersyn sat on my lap the entire time watching MMCH on my phone, occasionally looking down at what she was doing to my feet and would say "Wowwwww. Cool!" LOL. We went home after that - But aside from that 1 fit, she had no fits and was FANTASTIC!!!
It was a much needed, lovely mommy daughter day.
