Around 2 hours a day. Some days more, some days less. But for the most part, I try to limit it to about 30-45 minutes in the morning. And then she has her after dinner while drinking milk show of Wow Wow Wubbzy every night. She usually watches 1 episode, and then we have her clean the play room. On non bath days, she can watch the 2nd after her room is clean. But the time left of the show depends on how long it takes her to help us get the room cleaned.

Are we being honest here??? Prob 2-3 hours a day. Between every 20 minute episode and the movie or two on the weekends...its prob way too much. Do I use it as a babysitter, sure do.

way too much! This is why I started No Technology Tuesdays from the moment I walk in the door we are to have no tv on and no computers for the whole night! I would like it to be all day long but I know Gareth would never comply and I am at work on a computer so that isn't really fair haha.

of course we're being honest- if we can't be honest with strangers from around the country/world, who can we be honest with?! (not that we're really strangers anymore, but you know what I mean)
And I DEFINITELY use it as a babysitter...we're just not home much during the week!

Lol. I think it varies here from day to day, but the tv is on in the house pretty much all day. I put between 1-3 shows on for her each day. Sometimes I start a timed test while shes napping, and then she wakes up early (still tired) so I turn on something and wrap her up in her blanket and out her on the couch while I finish the test.
Her favorite "show" is the commercials on nickJR with moose a moose or whatever his name is.

Kylie watches one episode of Sesame Street when we wake up. This gives me time to tend to the dog, make our breakfast, coffee, etc. She doesn't really "sit" and watch it, she plays with her toys and stops to watch it every so often. When her breakfast is done I'll usually sit her in her highchair and face it towards the tv. Bad habit but it's just so easy with the layout of our house.
I try not to turn on any more shows for her, although some evenings of DH isn't home I will put on the tv while I make dinner. Other than Sesame Street, she only watched Disney Jr- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse mainly. She also likes Little Einsteins. We have "on demand" tv so it's really easy to put on one episode of a show of my choice.

I actually don't turn the tv on for Braylon really. We have the TV on (DH is addicted) and we usually have the news or sports on but I don't even know what kid shows are on when that are appropriate for his age anyway. Guess I'm an outsider in this category. Our tv is up higher so he doesn't pay attention to it unless he hears a catchy toon on a commercial then he stops to dance to it. We bought some old cartoons (ex: Popeye) at Christmas time that I have put on for him when he's been sick over the last few weeks but that only lasts a max of 20 minutes and he is bored and wants to get up to play.

Oh yea, the only time she actually sits and watches it is if shes still really tired from her nap. Other than that she's always up and moving and usually ends up where ever I am to "help". We have dancing sessions where I turn on music for us to dance to, usually from on of the music choice channels.

If I am watching Lauren then it's maybe 1-2hrs and that will be when I'm trying to shower or cook or if I need to clean something without help. If DH's is watching her then he'll let her watch episode after epsiode of tv. He watched her for 3 days while I was at work and it would not shock me if they did nothing but sit in front of the tv all day while I was gone. Lauren knows that he is the one that will turn her shows on her for so she is always trying to steal the remote when I have it and give it to him.

Pretty much none. That's not because I won't allow it, Jace really isn't interested in watching TV. The only things he's ever been interested in is football for short periods of time and Toy Story 3 (that one captured his attention). He won't watch anything alone though -- anything he watches, DH or I need to be in the living room with him so it kinda defeats the purpose! We put Sprout TV or some kids DVDs on from time to time but he barely watches them.

Honestly 2-3 hrs. I hate that the tv is on that much, but during the winter I run out of stuff to do being cooped up in the house.

What is it with kids and Toy Story???
Kids are absolutely in total silence when that movie comes on. My son loves Toy Story so much! We try not to have to TV as much but sometimes you can't help it. Especially over the winter.

On average about 1 hour a day during the week and maybe 2 on the weekends. We are out doing things during the week (preschool, gym, errands) and come home for naps, so on those days the tv doesnt get turned on until the evenings after dinner. Same with Saturdays after dance and errands. It's usually 2-3shows on nick mr when they do watch, and Nora will sit and watch a movie on days we stay home or on Sundays

I don't know...2 hrs maybe? The girls watch one episode of Curious George every morning while I'm making breakfast, getting ready for work etc.
They watch none during the day at daycare.
In the evenings they watch some while I'm making dinner once in a while and lots of nights an episode of something (sometimes a movie) before bed.
I don't think TV is the end of the world. My girls have learned a lot of valuable lessons from it. To be honest, I worry about them watching TV or playing video as they get older than they do right now!
