Mommy's name/screen name: Kim/ KMQ
Baby Name: Jenna Lauryn
Baby Gender: Girl
Date of Birth: August 20
EDD: August 14
Weight Height: 8 pounds 6 oz, 19 inches
Birth Story:
I had been feeling crampy and awful for just over a week, but still nothing. My doctor sent me for a BPP ultrasound on Thursday and I was to go for an NST afterwards just to make sure everything was peachy. However, things were not peachy at all; the ultrasound score was 2/8, she wasn't moving and the amniotic fluid was low. we were sent immediately for the nonstress test. when we got to the hospital around 5 and was hooked up to the test, the doctor came in and was concerned about the baby's blood pressure. he left for a while longer and when he came back i was told that the baby was coming that day; he checked me to see if i was a candidate for induction (which i was), but he was concerned that I would need a c-section anyway because of the baby's heartrate. so an hour after we reached the hospital, I was taken to the OR, cleaned up, given an IV and a spinal, and at 6:34 on the 20th my baby girl came screaming into the world. The pediatrician was there in case she was in distress, but apparently she was just stuck in my pelvis and couldn't get out by herself. I was really upset about having to get a c-section, but in the end it was best for baby, and she's strong and healthy and beautiful! I was in the hospital for four days, and healing is going well but slowly.
