We were scheduled for an induction on August 25th at 8am.
After dropping off Meghan and David as school Dave and I went straight to the hospital.
Due to the fact that I was Group B positive they started the penicillon at aroung 9am. With Meghan my labor went very fast so they decided to not start the pitocin or break my what until 4hr after starting the penicillon.
So we just sat there bored out of our minds until 1pm.
At 1 they gave me my epidural (very small amount at that point), broke my water and started the pit. I was still only 3cms
Dr came back around 3pm and I was only 4cms.
At about 5:15 I suddenly started feeling a lot of pressure, and the urge to push. The nurse came in and paged the dr twice.
He came running in, I had to breath through 2 contractions forcing myself not to push.
Then I pushed through 1 contraction and out she came.
Alexa Claire was born at 5:30pm weighing 8lbs 1oz, 21inches.
