I am 7w 2d and have been bleeding for nearly a week. I had an ultrasound last Wednesday and everything looked great- good heartbeat, right size. My HCG levels were rising but did not double. I have been in bed for days now too afraid to even move the wrong way. The bleeding is less than a period and sometimes stops altogether. It's been accompanied by light intermittent cramping. I go in tomorrow to be checked again. I'm 40 so I know my odds of m/c are much higher. The waiting is the worst part. I'm afraid ill go in tomorrow and they'll say all we can do is wait some more. In the mean time I'm missing a lot of work that adds to the stress. Just about everything I've read said this could go either way. It's was not a planned pregnancy but once I got used to the idea of having another one needless to say I will be heartbroken if it doesn't survive. I've been through a m/c before but I was 32 and getting preggo again was easy. Can't say that at 40. Anyone here with similar experiences?

Hi there, yes it was not that easy to get pregnant at the age of 40. But other moms that I know conceived in their 40's was an accident. If you wanted to conceive at that age you should know when you are ovulating because that is the best time do it. I hope this helps.
