After years of trying, 2 years of fertility meds, multiple surgeries, blood draws and needle sticks, some awful pre-IVF complications, and endometriosis and PCOS,
We are done TTC. Praying for peace as we accept this...
Hoping for some comfort after our most recent (and 3rd) surgery and starting Lupron!
Well....last Friday night- hubby and I took part in his families Christmas tradition---a 20lb cookout of crab and lobster!! YUMM!!
Then on Christmas day, my sister will host dinner at her house with our family and her husbands family. In the evening- we all then sit around, talk and play board games and help her set out the Santa gifts.
On Christmas moring, after waking up at about 6am to open gifts at my moms house, we all gather and make a HUGE breakfast!!
A few hours later, Hubby and I host Christmas day dinner at our house for my family and his. That usually goes on to pretty late in the night.
For New years- my parents neighborhood throws a block party- DJ and all!! We've been doing it about 10years now so ALOT of people know about it!! Every family brings a dish to share and we set out rows and rows of tables for a potluck. Also- there are about 8 random neighbors who have big burn barrels in which hold a huge bonfire in it- so all through out the neighborhood- there are bonfires in every ones driveway! Its pretty fun! ....and It only gets to be about 60 degrees so its great to be outside!!
Last night we did our Christmas with my dad's side of the family. It was probably the last Christmas my grandfather will see so it was pretty sentimental. Christmas morning we will do the thing with my moms side of the family and my grandmothers, go to my parents, then help my mom cook for dinner back at my grandmothers.
Thanks to :shortcake: for my siggy
