Hello all,
I am new here My name is Karen, and i'm 27 yrs old. I have always had very heavy cycles, and pain, but I just assumed it was normal. In Oct of 2009 I mentioned to my Dr that intercourse was sometimes painful. My routine exam caused me a lot of pain so my GYN sent me for an US. The ultra sound showed bi-lateral cysts, so I was sent for a CT-scan. Both cysts measured around 11cm. I was diagnosed with possible IV endo.

I had my lap on 2/3. The Dr was able to remove both endometromias, as well as the endo that was hanging about. I lost my left tube, but he said everything else looks good.

In hindsight I was in a lot of pain, but because the pain increased over time, it just became apart of life.

I am 11 days post op, and feeling great. I first cycle started 4 days after surgery, and it wasn't as painful!

We are hoping to start TTC in March!

Karen

Hi and welcome. I'm Paige (28 on March 3rd) and DH is Matt (27), I'm also one of the co-hosts. I know having endo sucks but I'm so glad you got a diagnosis and had some relief from the lap!! I had my 3rd lap this past Monday and the spotting started tonight. Whether AF is showing early (never happens as I have PCOS as well) or a side effect of the surgery. I'm glad that your cycle wasn't as painful and you are feeling great. Please stick around. There aren't many of us here but we're cool

Did your doctor tell you to hold off TTC or are you giving your body a little bit to recover from the lap?

Thanks for the welcome.. I want to start this cycle, but the dr said no sex for 4 weeks? I plan to ask again on Wed, when I have my post op phone call with him. Where you all told to wait?

My last lap I was told to wait 30 days. I think we lasted 3 weeks Everything I've read online says 2 weeks. I'm just waiting until my body lets me know it's ok
