I started researching all the herbal remedies I could to try and help with the PCOS. I knew that soy isoflavones helped some women, they do the same thing that Clomid does (well they can in some women at least). The only problem is the type of estrogen in soy actually makes endo worse which is why we should avoid it. I found this article though Effect of soy isoflavones on endometriosis : Interaction with estrogen receptor 2 gene polymorphism Blah blah blah, medical jargon, blah blah blah, conclusion dietary isoflavones may reduce the risk of endometriosis. You aren't supposed to take it for more than 18 months from what I've read but a natural pill that could help you ovulate, release more eggs, and regulate your cycle that also keeps endo away, what could be better for TTC?

I took the soy with my cinnamon the night before last, no side effects. Vitamins and things usually mess with my stomach big time. I did the same last night and woke up at midnight with a seriously messed up stomach and nausea. I have no idea if it was the soy, cinnamon, mexican food I had last night, a bug, a cyst that ruptured, or if I did it to myself I forgot about the whole not lifting anything over 5-10 pounds for a month after a lap and tried to do a pull up

Oooh, Paige, that's terrible! Maybe it was from the pull up, reaction to a mixture of foods/pills or maybe your stomach is just off from the lap.

This is the best explanation I found of isoflavones.
