I had my last lupron shot 1 month ago. Yesterday I visited my fertility lady and she gave me a progesterone shot to try to induce my period. She was going to wait 6 weeks to see if it would just show up... but she is anxious to get me started with the TTC again.

Has anyone had this shot? How long did it take to get your period started? I know a lot depends on the lupron but I forgot to ask how long it would take! My hip feels horrible! Feels like someone banged on it and tried to make hamburger. I have also had some uterine cramps. Hopefully AF will show soon!!

I'm not much of a help either....I'm guessing the shot is just a stronger dose of the pills. For me the few times I've taken the pills it was about 5 or 6 days after I took the first. Everybody's body is so different but I don't *think* it'll be that long before she shows.

I am surprised your last Lupron shot was only a month ago and your doctor was already pushing another drug to induce your period. Generally after Lupron AF doesn't show up for 2-3 months. After about 3 months they usually give you that to bring on AF. I had Lupron for 6 months and got AF exactly 3 months later

She was going to wait 6 weeks but I am having a change of job/insurance situation so she wanted to go ahead and do it. She said it might not do anything (not sure what that means). This is not the same Dr who did the lupron injections... this is the one who was pissed when she found out I was doing them. She is my fertility Dr and wants me to get pregnant ASAP due to the amount of endo I have.

Right now I feel like my body cant decided if it wants to have hot flashes or a period. I feel like my period might come but every time I go to the bathroom there is nothing. We will see what happens.
