Just being nosy, but did you doctor mention doing the removal laparoscopily (i know i spelled that wrong)? I had my right ovary removed right at four weeks ago and he did it via lap. Just asking because the recovery time for a lap is so much shorter than a laparotomy.

About You:

Name: Paige

DH/SO: Matt

Kids & pets: one angel and two dogs: a lab and a dalmatian

Do you work? What job do you do? I do. I'm a move coordinator. I handle Department of State (diplomats, ambassadors) moves from beginning to end. I'm also the Lieutenant of our police reserves in the town I live in.

Other boards you visit on JM: TTC after Loss, lurk on TTC with M/A and AIP

What's your current TTC status?: TTC for a few more months with Clomid after that it'll be NTNP until the pain gets too bad and I have to go back on BC

Favourite hobbies and passtimes: I love reading. DH and I also love going riding 4-wheelers but we don't get to do that nearly often enough. Other than that and the police department I don't do much.

Favourite food: french fries are my weakness. Right now though pickles, boiled peanuts, and peaches are sounding really really good!!

Favourite movie(s): Gone with the Wind, Robin Hood Men in Tights, and Interview with a Vampire. When I'm in a really silly mood I'll watch Bubble Boy. Sappy mood either A Walk to Remember or Man in the Moon.

Favourite book(s): The Dante Club, Matilda, and The Secret History. Plus I've read everything by: James Patterson (well his mysteries at least), Jeffery Deaver, Jodi Piccoult, Kristin Hannah, Nora Roberts, and several others

Favourite TV show(s): all the cop shows. Law and Order: SVU, the original CSI, Bones, House, Medium, Criminal Minds, Castle, Grey's, True Blood,

Favourite Music: I like pretty much everything except this new rap crap. I like my generations rap though : Nelly, DMX, 36 Mafia. Right now I mainly listen to country and rock. My fav's are the Beatles and Korn.

Tell us 3 interesting facts about you:

1. I'm an only child.

2. I've wanted to be a crime Scene investigator since I can remember - long before CSI came on.

3. I'm a horrible house wife

About your endo:

When did your symptoms start? I remember having really bad cramps when I was 13 or so but it wasn't every month. It didn't get really bad until my first year of college, 18.

When were you diagnosed, or are you waiting for a diagnosis? I was diagnosed in 2004. It took 4 years.

Treatments you've tried:

Most/least effective: regular BC didn't work for crap. The Lurpon was wonderful (except for the side effects). I regret taking it now because of how it kills your calcium level / bones. My bones fracture so easily now. The Depo shot worked pretty well as long as I got my shot a week to a week and a half before I was due to get it.

Current treatments and/or pain meds: Just had surgery 4 weeks ago. No treatment other than that. I've got some Lortab left over from my surgery that I'm sure I'll need.
