You may want to ask this on the TTC board because lots of people use them there, but I start using them on day 10 (unless I get cervical mucus earlier). It depends on how long your average cycle is. If you have a long cycle, then day 10 would be way too early to start. It doesn't really matter when you test, but morning is the worst time to test. If you're stocked up on them, I'd test twice a day just to make sure you don't miss the LH surge. Some people (like me) have a short surge and if they only test once a day during their fertile period, they may miss it.

Depends on when you normally O. I would suggest day 10 and to use them between the hours of 10-6. Try to keep it to the same time daily, so that you can get a better understanding. Some women, I've done it too, would use one in the morning and then one in the evening. You can surge at any time during the day. Just be sure to never use FMU, you will be given false results.
