I am so blasted nervous about my interview tomorrow. I spent about 2 hours today googling the best things to wear to interviews and probable questions with recommended answers (in my own words). I have never been this nervous about a job interview. To be honest, the only thing I've ever wanted more in my life was to get pregnant. It's funny but it's like TTC all over again! To want something so bad and know there's a chance you won't get it. I've got my outfit and shoes picked out, I updated my resume, and I have three letters of recommendation (1 from a current coworker, 1 from a previous coworker and friend, and 1 from my boss at my part time job). I just need to find something similar to a portfolio since I don't have a briefcase.
Any words of wisdom?
Got a letter in the mail today - thanks for letting us interview you but the position has been filled....

The interview went. I drove home in tears. Hopefully its just menopause rearing its head and wasn't as bad as I think. I should know by middle of next week.

All the interviews I thought went terrible are the ones where I've gotten the job. All the ones I thought went well are the ones I don't get the job. I hope you have the same luck as me. Good luck! They'd be lucky to have you!

Thanks ladies. I'm feeling better about it this morning. I know that next time I won't be as nervous since I've already met them. Did I mention it was a panel interview? There were 4 of them! I know one of the social workers. She said shed keep check and let me know if she heard anything so that I don't have to wait a week to find out anything. DH just keeps reminded me that at least I have a job to go to.

I did. I debated about it but once they told me the opening was for a foster care social worker I knew I had to. I knew that they fact that we are going through the home study and all of the stress that goes along with it could only help me. I admitted up front that I had debated about telling them. Turned out the head of DHR's wife is adopted and they've adopted so I'm assuming that made me look good to him at least.
