i used to do this occasionally when we were TTC Kyla, and i was wondering if anyone else did.

do you ever avoid certain social gatherings (like baby showers), to protect yourself from the hurt it could cause?

Yep no baby showers for me. I avoid nonfamily gathering if I know someone pregnant will be there. I cannot avoid the family ones and they can be tough.
