Did you suspect that you had endo? Yes, I've had symptoms since a teen, and it got a lot worse in college
Does anyone in your family have endo? My mom, sister, and two aunts
When were you diagnosed with endo? I was 24, but I had surgery at 15 where they thought they found some but thought I was too young
What is the worst part of having endo? The pain, slowing down the TTC process
What treatments have you gone through to treat the endo?Various hormone pills (made it worse for me), three surgeries, the last one with an endo specialist in Atlanta.
What is your advice for women recently diagnosed with endo? Do a lot of research, and don't let doctors minimize what you're going through. You may need to travel and spend money, but an endo specialist is worth it. A regular OBGYN really doesn't have the skills to properly treat endo most of the time.
