My fears right now going into my appointment a week from today.
1. That the ob will tell me my endo is back.
2. That the ob will tell me it is too soon to do anything.
3. That DH has a low sperm count.
4. That my tubes are blocked.
5. That I am ovulating too late.
6. I know there are more but cannot think of them right now.

I go to the ob a week from today and am anxious about it. It is time for me to step away from google! The SIL that is pg is being a witch! And my parents are being infuriating. I just want a plan. I will do whatever it takes to have a baby.I feel that I am doing the right thing by going to the doctor on Monday. I think it is the right next step. If I was not in this much pain then I would have waited one more cycle to go see the ob but the pain is so bad! I guess I just want to hear that I am doing the right thing. Any idea what you think the next step would be?

First, don't panic! You don't know what the OB will say, and it may not be bad news. If the OB says your endo is back, I would HIGHLY suggest finding a specialist who has experience in excision surgery (cutting out the endo, not burning it). You may need to travel, and it may cost a chunk of money, but I really think it's cheaper in the long run than going through all kinds of fertility treatments and surgery after surgery. I went to Atlanta for my specialist. My doctor's name was Dr. Aldee, and he has like a 97% rate of endo NEVER coming back when he performs the surgery, and those who have excision surgery are just ask likely to get pregnant as the general population, it just takes a little longer since the ovaries have to work a little harder. I felt (and still do) feel a lot better than I ever did before I went to that doctor. All of my endo pain now is really pain from adenomyosis, which can't be treated without a hysterectomy.

Anyways, getting back to the point... don't panic. You'll get pregnant, Caitlin. Endo won't run your life forever. Lots of people get pregnant with endo, and I know you'll be one of them.

PS- I hope AF lets up really soon and you feel better. I hate this for you!

I definitely think your fears are valid. I freak out going to any doctor visit, but that's because I'm not a fan of confrontation and I think that you have to be your own best advocate when going to the doc. The one thing I've learned from being on JM is that if your doctor is not being as proactive as you like or doesn't seem to take you seriously, it is OKAY to get another doctor. We actually "shopped" around and spoke with 3 different REs before making a decision.

I would definitely recommend writing down all your questions to have on hand so you don't forget anything. My doc would actually take my list and then go down answering all of them.

I'm sorry you're still in pain and your family (and SIL) are being a pain. I really hope this dr is exactly what you need!

Cait, you are doing the right thing!! personally i dont think waiting another cycle would help. and seeing him earlier is better.

please try not stress too much about what he will say. and hopefully after seeing him you will have a plan and maybe even some answers.

Thank you ladies for putting my mind at ease! I am going to make a list of my questions and am going to print out my charts to take with me.

Tracy he is always good about seeing me soon which is one of the reasons I like seeing him.
