So, I had my LAP followup appointment today with the RE. He was definitely rushed, but I got the answers I wanted and a plan I'm excited about!

He went over my surgery images and I certainly had some crazy endo going on in there. He said since part of my bowel was connected to my ovary that he is supposed to recommend IVF. He knows we're not ready to jump into that yet, so he has decided to do an Ovulation Induction Cycle. He wanted to do it with Clomid, but last time I did Clomid I did not handle it well. We're going to try Femara and I go in on CD 10 for monitoring. I am so so so excited about this. I've never had a monitored cycle so I'm excited for someone to be watching what's going on in there and I'll finally have confirmation that everything in that area works correctly. We are moving in the right direction and I finally feel like the next cycle will be the first one we've really had a shot at in the past 6 months.

So, anyone been on Femara before? How did it go for you? I hear the side effects are less than Clomid, and I really hope that's the case.

Glad to hear the surgery is over and you are recovering. I hope you are feeling better after that I don't know about Femeral, but I have everything crossed that it will do the trick for you. I wouldn't want to jump right to IVF either (it sounds so intimidating!). I know of several girls that got pregnant within a month or two of having a lap, so I think your chances are great! Lots and lots of baby dust to you!

Thanks ladies.

Kerian, Clomid made me crazy too. I was very moody and on edge. It was not enjoyable at all! I've not heard of Gonal F, what exactly is that supposed to do? Is it similar to Clomid?

Thanks Lucy, I'm definitely healing from surgery but my incisions are starting to itch like crazy! I've heard it's because they're healing. I really hope I'm one of those girls that gets a BFP after a lap. I know there are a lot of stories that go both ways. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Now that you mention it, mine itched like crazy too! I remember thinking it was infected, but my doctor told me it was a good sign of healing.
